Philadelphia-based filmmaker Benjamin Daniels profiles the cheesy, beefy sandwich that put his hometown on the map by speaking with the proprietors of restaurants specializing in the famed "Philly Cheesesteak" in order to find out what distinguishes a genuine cheesesteak from a hastily assembled imposter. Over the course of his interviews, Daniels discovers that the recipe for perfection has evolved over the generations, and that the best cheesesteaks are made by happy employees who love their customers.
