Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Talented L.A. poetess Kalindra (Shanola Hampton) confides her desire to leave her abusive husband Ronnie (Elimu Nelson) to her best friend Daphne (Tamala Jones). Meanwhile, she falls into a forbidden romance with haunted spoken-word artist Curtis (Omari Hardwick), who is determined to reconnect with his estranged daughter. In time, Curtis gives Kalindra the courage to pursue her dreams on the stages of New York City.
