Synopsis by Perry Seibert

Jayaraaj directs the mistaken identity comedy Thilakkam. Master (Nedumudi Venu) and his spouse (K.P.A.C. Lalitha) are in agony as their ten-year-old son, Unni (Dilip), has gone missing after attending a festival with neighbor Panikkar (Oduvil Unnikrishnan), who has also not returned. Ammu (Kavya Madhavan), Panikkar's daughter, has faith that the pair will return. Eventually Panikkar does return to the town with a person believed to be Unni, but who has amnesia and appears to be unwell mentally. Unni is taken care for by a local priest and by Ammu, which makes the man who loves her jealous. Eventually the amnesia goes away and the person knows he is not Unni, but rather the son of a crime boss.
