Written by Johnny Speight of 'Til Death Do Us Part fame, the British sitcom Them was another exercise in Speight-ian ethnic humor. The title referred to the series' team of protagonists: a pair of tramps, one Irish, one cockney. Prominent stage and film actors Cyril Cusack and James Booth were ideally cast as the two itinerants. The five half-hour episodes of Them were aired by BBC1 from July 27 to August 24, 1972.
