Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Director Alan Gilsenan traces the career of the troubled musicians who influenced such legendary artists as Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan, yet never tasted the same kind of success. Rising from their roots in County Tipperary, the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem rose to stardom in Greenwich Village in heydays of the 1960s. But it wasn't meant to be; just when the band was on the verge of success, rock and roll excess heralded their pre-mature demise. A look into the troubled mind of Liam Clancey provides unique insight into their shooting stardom.
