Synopsis by Hal Erickson
On Christmas Eve, Mulder persuades Scully to investigate an allegedly haunted house. The spooky old domicile had been the scene of a double murder way back in 1918. Upon their arrival, the agents must contend with a taciturn married couple (Ed Asner, Lily Tomlin), who are obviously harboring a horrible secret -- and whose presence bodes ill for the future of the two people we really care about.
