Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, and Stanley Tucci star in director Robert Zemeckis’ adaptation of Roald Dahl’s 1983 novel of the same name. In 1960s Alabama, an orphaned African-American boy encounters a conference of malevolent witches while living in a hotel with his grandmother (Spencer). A courageous and comedic confrontation ensues after the Grand High Witch (Hathaway) transforms him into a sentient mouse.
