Synopsis by Hal Erickson

An extremely dysfunctional family was the principal source of humor in this British sitcom. David Bradley starred as Ray Wilson, a single dad saddled with five contentious kids. Since Ray preferred to drink (and drink and drink) rather than tend to his parental responsibilities, it was up to eldest daughter Dilly (Sophie Stanton) to act as the brood's surrogate mother. Though the Wilson youngsters were constitutionally capable of getting along with one another, they were united in their disdain for unctuous social worker Colin (Julian Rhind-Tutt). Party of Five this wasn't. Produced by Hat Trick Productions, the six-episode The Wilsons was seen from January 16 to February 20, 2000.
