Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
56-year-old rockabilly musician Hasil Adkins has been described as "Elvis in Sid Vicious' body with a little Frank Sinatra thrown in," and this shot-on-video documentary can attest to just that. Hazil's antics -- law-breaking, womanizing, and constant drinking -- are mercilessly taped alongside his unique brand of rock & roll. Through a series of interviews, his family, friends, and various law enforcement agents reveal that his paranoid reputation has been well earned, but perhaps more indicative of Hazil's not-so-sane tendencies was his insistence that he would kill filmmaker Julien Nitzberg if the documentary was finished.
