Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
This 13-part series examines the most important developmental changes children experience between birth and the age of five so that caregivers can better meet their changing needs. This volume examines how caregivers can interact more effectively with children who have different types of learning disabilities. Experts also discuss the different types of environments that are most useful to such children. Host Dr. Joanne Hendrick, author of The Whole Child, is a professor emerita of Early Childhood at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. A panel of highly distinguished childhood education and child development experts contributed to the design and content of this program. The series was filmed in a variety of preschools, Head Start classrooms, and private homes being operated for childcare and schooling purposes.
