If the premise to this Vim Plump and Runt comedy sounds familiar, it should -- it's similar to two later Laurel and Hardy films, Be Big! and Sons of the Desert. Appearing in all three films is Oliver Hardy. In 1916 he was many years away from teaming up with Stan Laurel, but he was still part of a duo -- at Vim Billy Ruge played Runt to Hardy's Plump. Plump and Runt claim they are overworked and convince a doctor to prescribe a rest at the seashore. Of course, this is only so that the two can get away from their wives for some fun. While flirting with a few young women, Plump and Runt discover that their wives have followed them. The two men hide in a women's bathhouse and disguise themselves in ladies' swimsuits. In spite of their best effort, their wives eventually figure out the ruse. Afraid of their wives' wrath, Plump and Runt head out to sea.
