Synopsis
This 13-part children's series chronicles a search for humpback whales in the Gulf of Maine. The program was part drama, with 15 minutes of scripted adventure, and part primer, with 15 minutes of educational lessons about various marine-science topics. The series costarred a preteen Ben Affleck as C.T. Granville, the grandson of the ship's skipper. A sequel, 'The Second Voyage of the Mimi,' aired in 1988.
