Synopsis by Mark Deming

One of the first of the British punk bands to score a major label deal, the Vibrators -- led by guitarist and singer Knox (aka Ian Carnochan) -- played short, fast, gutsy rock & roll songs that made an audience move, and almost thirty years after they put out their first album, the band can still deliver the goods. The Vibrators: Live Energized -- C.B.G.B. 2004 documents a set Knox and the latest Vibrators lineup played at New York City's punk rock Mecca, C.B.G.B. during an American tour. Selections include "Automatic Lover," "London Girls," "Pure Mania," "Petrol," "Troops of Tomorrow," "U238," "Politically Correct" and many more.
