Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Season two of Transformers commenced with "Autbot Spike," written by Donald F. Glut. Seriously injured by the Decepticons, Earthling Spike is forced to undergo radical surgery. During the procedure, his mind is transferred to Autobot X, a new Transformer created by Sparkplug. Taking advantage of Spike's temporary mental instability, Megatron manages to harness Autobot X's strength for his own purposes. Most American TV markets ran "Autobot Spike" on September 23, 1985.
