Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In 1980's Sicily, mob bosses clash in violent disputes over control of the narcotics market. Mafioso Tommaso Buscetta (Pierfrancesco Favino) heads to Brazil to lie low, watching the violence erupt from afar until the wars ultimately claim the lives of his family. Running out of options after being deported to Italy, Buscetta strikes a bargain with Judge Giovanni Falcone (Fausto Russo Alesi) to take down the Cosa Nostra from the inside as the first Sicilian mafia pentito.
