Those familiar with director Rudolf Thome's other films will be aware that he favors inconclusive stories which celebrate the ordinary activities of living in an occasionally absurd fashion. In this story, a film critic (John Shinavier) has come from New York to to Berlin to do research for a book about a famous silent filmmaker. He has a girlfriend (Radhe Schiff) in town, and together they visit the graveyard where the filmmaker is buried. Near his grave, they spot a statue of a woman with her arms raised up. It is labelled as an image of "the sun goddess," and it bears an uncanny likeness to the reviewer's girlfriend. The reviewer and his girlfriend get it into their heads that she is a reincarnation of the goddes, and while they spend a vacation on a Greek island, when they are not making love, he photographs her in the nude in poses similar to that of the statue.
