Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A reclusive, 71-year-old New Yorker places a fake ad seeking a subleaser for his modest apartment on the Upper West Side, only to find his once-predictable life complicated by the sudden appearance of a mysterious hitman and a 19-year-old girl seeking to make it as a rock star in the big city. Walter is the kind of guy who never ventures outside of the one-block radius surrounding his tiny apartment. He never crosses the street, and his daily routine consists of taking his morning pills, drinking some fiber, having lunch, cleaning, watching television, and tending to the books. Until one day, when the telephone rings, and a voice on the other end begins enquiring about "the apartment." Walter plays along, answering the man's questions until it becomes apparent that it's a simple case of a wrong number. Inspired, Walter places a fake ad for a sublet in the local paper. Meanwhile, Maggie has just arrived in the city seeking to sell her baseball card collection in order to put a down payment on an apartment, and a mysterious hired killer is awaiting word on his latest assignment. A week later, when Walter's ad is finally published, aspiring tenants come knocking and things really start to get interesting.
