Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This routine Western tale was dressed up with some very picturesque scenery. Easterner Roger Latham (Robert W. Frazer) arrives at the Double U ranch, which belongs to Elias Wilcox. The ranch's crooked manager, Bill Wade, doesn't know that Latham is Wilcox's nephew and starts causing trouble for the young man right away. Latham makes friends with squatter Jim Grey and romances his daughter Molly (Edna Payne). Wade, however, gets Grey riled up by telling him Latham is already married. Grey shoots Latham down, and he is found by Brother Ansolm, a friar, and taken to the mission to recover. Wade then wires Wilcox that Latham has disappeared with the payroll, but instead of having the desired effect, the truth about Latham's relationship to the boss comes out. Wade is discharged, and Grey, realizing that Latham was innocent, tracks him down to the mission. Wade enlists the help of two bandits to attack Latham and his party as they return to the ranch, but the presence of Brother Ansolm stops them. The desperadoes beg the friar's forgiveness, and back at the ranch, Latham and Molly wed.
