Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Bottom-of-the-barrel western filmmaking on all fronts, The Seventh Sheriff starred Dick Hatton, lovely Neva Gerber and black sidekick Martin Turner in a story of an Eastern boy who travels West and is stupid enough to let himself be elected sheriff in a lawless town. Six deputies before him all bite the dust, but Hatton's Jack Rockwell not only wins over the populace by bucking a bronc, but also rids the community of a nasty swindler (Arthur Morrison). Hatton could only blame himself for this no-budget misfire, which he both wrote and directed.
