Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Naturalist Gordon Eastman was the "auteur" of Savage Wild. Eastman not only directed the film, but wrote, photographed, edited and narrated. The action takes place somewhere in the Arctic Circle and details the raising of a pack of wolves, from infant captivity to eventual freedom. Savage Wild was "four-walled" to theatres, then released to TV in the mid-1970s as part of a "wildlife" movie package.
