Vivian Vance joins Red Skelton in the domestic comedy sketch "Appleby's Fallout Shelter." Dithery henpecked husband George Appleby (Red) fears the worst when he hears what sounds like an air-raid siren. Actually, it's his wife Clara (Vivian), rehearsing for a community production of Madame Butterfly, but by the time George finds this out, he's already built a shelter and stocked it with provisions.
