The Great Quiz Show Scandal of the late 1950s was only in its early stages when this Red Skelton Show first appeared on October 14, 1958. In the main comedy sketch, roughneck Bolviar Shagnasty (Skelton) and his brassy girl friend (Barbara Nichols) appear as contestants on "The Million-Dollar Challenge", hosted by Ralph Story (the emcee of the real-life The $64,000 Challenge). The fun really begins when Bolivar ends up a finalist in the "winner take all" round.
