Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Ambitious Somali-Canadian journalist Mohamed uses his wits and a hidden camera to infiltrate a gang of Somali pirates, but finds his life in danger while attempting to document the violence and corruption that most people only read about. A revealing glimpse of the ongoing social strife in Somalia reveals the harsh realities that have turned some desperate fishermen into violent outlaws, and an investigation into illegal fishing and nuclear fuel dumping shows the negative impact of shady foreign interests on the local culture and society. Meanwhile, when rival pirates murder Mohamad's boss, the journalist is jailed, and threatened with execution.
