On a dig near Peking in 1927, the remains of Peking man, a being that lived over 500,000 years ago, were unearthed. In 1941, the bones vanished---never to be recovered. This 1978 documentary investigates their disappearance and features interviews with experts connected with the remains. Christopher Plummer is the narrator.
