Sammo Hung directs and stars in this wild and woolly Hong Kong comedy / drama/ action/ kung fu flick as ace thief Bumbo who, along with his long partner Owl (George Lam), is being blackmailed by an unknown extortionist who says will provide the police with a stack of incriminating evidence that will put the two in jail for the rest of their natural lives if they do not follow his orders. First task is to volunteer at a shelter for troubled teens and the second is to drive up the price of a piece of property at a land auction so that notorious gangster Au Gan (James Tien) cannot buy it. Though the two eventually fail in this last task, they soon develop close bonds to the youths. Later, Owl and Bumbo have an action-packed showdown with Au.
