Famed physicist Anya (Joanna Going) is suffering from an incurable, degenerative illness. Still, she continues her work at the Burkmeer Research Center, where scientists have been experimenting on the mutated, shrivelled body of Sasha, a young boy who lives only with the help of life support. Miraculously, Anya manages to "link" with Sasha, whose soul and psyche hover somewhere in limbo. Is it possible that Anya's imminent death may be the means of saving Sasha from his miserable existence? "Worlds Within" was first telecast on June 29, 2001.
