Synopsis by Hal Erickson
First telecast July 23, 1995, "I, Robot" is one of a handful of "new" Outer Limits episodes based on stories filmed during the original 1960s series (in this case, the earlier version aired on November 14, 1964). The central character is a robot named Adam, played by Jake McKinnon, with voice supplied by John Novak. Placed on trial for killing his creator, Adam will be destroyed unless the defense can prove that the robot possesses true humanity. Leonard Nimoy stars as Thurman Cutler, the aging attorney coaxed out of retirement to save Adam, while "I, Robot" itself was directed by Nimoy's son, Adam Nimoy.
