Ecstasy of Angels and Go, Go, Second Time Virgin director Koji Wakamatsu directs this tale of a lusty and unscrupulous 13th Century Japanese housewife whose quest for wealth and power leads her down a destructive path of sex and violence. Following a failed attempt to trade up her humble rice selling husband for his handsome and successful brother Wu Sung, scheming black widow Chin Lien poisons her unsuspecting hubby to clear the path for a lusty affair with wealthy ladies man Men Ching (Juzo Itami). While her affair with Men Ching soon leads to marriage, Chin Lien is but one of five wives and the libidinous Men Ching soon moves on to wife number six before embarking on a decadent series of drunken orgies. With the country falling into chaos all around, the appearance of Wu Sing at Men Ching's palace leads to a bloody confrontation in which the vengeful military man attempts to make the scheming Chin Ling pay for the crime she committed against his family.
