Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Though the title of this British series may suggest a dry documentary, The Nation's Health was actually a fairly compelling dramatic anthology. Each of the series' four 90-minute playlets illustrated a separate problem and/or flaw in Britain's National Health Service. Otherwise unconnected, the stories were linked together by the disillusioning experiences of Dr. Jessie Marvell (Vivienne Ritchie). A Euston production for Thames Television, The Nation's Health originally aired from October 6 to 27, 1983.
