Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This lightweight comedy-drama is set in 1970 China when the Cultural Revolution had become a way of life. The story chronicles the relationship between a forthright mother and her young daughter. The mother constantly encourages her daughter to think independently and to fight for her rights.
