Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This unusual feature from Iran contrasts the situation of an imaginary group of ancient Mongol warriors trapped in the modern present, and the life of a TV director's wife as she writes an academic dissertation on those same Mongols. Highlights of this film include its use of rarely seen spectacular locations in southern Iran and the cheerful abandon of the film's Mongols, who are of Turkoman origin.
