A popular favorite in the holiday season and one of the best-loved choral works in the classical repertoire, George Frideric Handel's The Messiah is performed before a live audience by The National Choir of Lyon at the Abbey of La Chaise Dieu in Central France's Auvergne Hills for this home video release. The choir is accompanied by the Auvergne Orchestra, under the direction of Jean-Jacques Kantorow.
