The most dangerous event in big wave surfing gets underway as twenty-four of the world's best wave riders convene in Half Moon Bay, California to battle killer waves, brave bone-chilling water temperatures, and navigate jagged rocks, and out-surf the competition in the 2006 Mavericks Surf Contest. With only twenty-four hours notice before the big event, these surfers must be in top shape and ready to go at any time.
