Synopsis by Hal Erickson
It may be that Ted Baxter (Ted Knight) really wants to marry Georgette (Georgia Engel), but one would never know it from his dismissive, half-hearted proposals. Fed up by Ted's vacillation, Georgette demands that he take her to the altar -- within the next half-hour. The result is a hastily improvised wedding in the apartment of Mary Richards (Mary Tyler Moore), presided over by a minister (John Ritter) in tennis shorts. Clearly a "ratings sweeps" episode, but a very good one, "Ted's Wedding" originally aired on November 8, 1975.
