Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Arriving in Hollywood for a broadcaster's convention, the very married Ted Baxter (Ted Knight) is entranced by an attractive newswoman named Whitney Lewis (Trisha Noble). Hoping to land an exclusive story, Whitney does nothing to discourage Ted's infatuation. Meanwhile, Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) and Murray (Gavin MacLeod) can only express amazement at Ted's metamorphosis from stumbling clod to sex magnet. "Ted's Temptation" was originally telecast on December 11, 1976.
