In this episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, the very married Phyllis Lindstrom (Cloris Leachman) develops a platonic relationship with an erudite young man named Mike Tedesco (John Saxon). Though Phyllis tells herself that her interest in Mike is purely intellectual, she is none too pleased when Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) begins dating him for entirely different reasons. As usual, Phyllis' hubby, Lars, is not part of the equation -- nor is he ever seen on-camera. "Menage a Phyllis" was originally broadcast on November 2, 1974.
