Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) accompanies Lou (Ed Asner) to a political seminar in Washington, D.C. Although she anxious to visit the usual tourist sights, Mary is urged by Lou to stay in her hotel room and await the avalanche of invitations he is certain to receive from his famous and celebrated Washington pals. But Mary is skeptical about Lou's alleged political connections -- even after getting a very special telephone call.
