Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Again facing a "contempt of court" charge for refusing to reveal a news source, Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) is determined to stay out of jail this time around. Accordingly, Mary hires a dynamic defense lawyer named Barry Munroe (John McMartin). Unfortunately, Barry's professionalism takes a nose-dive when he becomes infatuated with his winsome client. "Mary Gets a Lawyer" was first broadcast on November 13, 1976.
