Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Lew Ayres guest stars as Doug Booth, a handsome and charming sixtysomething gentleman who sweeps Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) off her feet. After a few dates with Doug, Mary finds herself subjecting to the good-natured joshing of her co-workers. But Mary isn't laughing -- especially after discovering that Doug is the father of her longtime co-worker, Murray (Gavin MacLeod). Written by the future creators of the long-lasting sitcom Cheers, "Mary and the Sexagenarian" originally aired on February 12, 1977.
