Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This offbeat and fascinating drama was totally created by performance-artist Antin as a tribute to a recently discovered "Yiddish shtetl film" from the silent era. The original was made in Cracow by "controversial Soviet silent-film director" Yevgeny Antinov. The story chronicles life in a Jewish village ("shtetl") and follows the romance between a young woman and a poet. The film does contain graphic nudity and sex.
