Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Based on a typical Elinor Glyn bodice-ripper, the British-lensed The Man and the Moment starred Manora Thew as an American heiress marrying a Scottish nobleman (Hayford Hobbs) in order to honor the stipulations of a will. Considering the whole thing merely a marriage of convenience, Sabine Delburg takes off for Italy where she dallies with a handsome prince (played by screenwriter Kenelm Foss). She returns to home and hearth, however, after the tragic news of the death of her little son, only to discover that she loved her husband all along. The Man and the Moment didn't premiere in the United States until 1923. A Hollywood version of the story, starring Billie Dove, was directed by George Fitzmaurice in 1929.
