Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Based on a novel by Meredith Nicholson, The Lords of High Decision whisks the viewer into the rarefied world of millionaire business magnates. It soon becomes apparent that many of these captains of industry have feet of clay, notably "coal king" Colonel Craighill (Joseph Gerard), who devotes every waking hour to crushing his competition. The Colonel's idealistic son Wayne (Cyril Scott) makes no secret of his disdain for his father's ruthlessness. Casting his lot with one of Craighill's competitors, Wayne falls in love with the man's pretty granddaughter Jean (Margaret Servin). Working together, Wayne and Jean bring about Colonel Craighill's downfall and redemption.
