Synopsis by Andrea LeVasseur
German filmmaker Jurgen Bruning directs the digital video feature Saudade: Longing. Set in Brazil during the summertime, three German friends take some time off for a vacation and to make money appearing on an erotic website. Wealthy Cyrus (Tarik Qazi) tries to find the mother he never knew, while musician Tim (Daniel Batscher) tries to get involved in the music scene. Meanwhile, sensitive Erik (Hendrik Scheider) pursues anonymous sex on the beach, which leads to a tragic accident. His guilt is compounded when he realizes how it implicates his new boyfriend, soap opera star Miguel (Aldri D'Anunciacao). Saudade: Longing premiered at the 2003 New York Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.
