Synopsis by Olivia Cantor

Documentary filmmaker Joe Berlinger features watersports athlete Robby Naish and his quest to ride one long wave continuously. With 24 surfing championship titles, Naish feels confident to chase this lifelong goal. However, he encounters a major injury that results in a near-fatal hip fracture. With this vulnerability, out come the other issues he’s dealing with in his personal life, such as divorce and financial difficulties. Still, his drive and dedication propel him to achieve this goal. The film features other surfers such as Laird Hamilton, Gerry Lopez, and Kai Lenny.
