Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

A Mexican trail guide (Matty Mattison) leads a wagon train West and falls for one of the occupants, a pretty Southern belle (Vivian Rich). Because of the boy's lineage (or lack thereof), the girl's parents do not approve, until, of course, he saves the party from a group of marauding Indians. This minor silent western, produced by poverty row company Sanford, co-starred Earl Metcalfe, a matinee-idol of the 1910s whose career was on the wane, and Gene Crosby, a Sanford regular usually cast as vamps. The star's father, Frank S. Mattison, directed the story which was obviously heavily influenced by the year's top-grossing western epic, The Covered Wagon.
