Action heroine Marie Walcamp was scarred for life after being attacked by one of her feline co-stars in this 18-chapter serial from Universal. The intrepid Walcamp played Beth Johnson, a British girl getting involved in a scheme by the Axis Powers to stir up hatred among the Muslim natives. Roy Hanford and Neal Hart joined Beth's fight for freedom, with Frank Lanning, Rex De Rosselli, Gertrude Astor, and Thomas Lingham working for the enemy. A typical wartime serial, The Lion's Claws was a favorite at the box office, if not because of Marie Walcamp herself.
