Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Veteran Western star Harry Carey played a deputy sheriff in this minor but well-made oater produced by Hunt Stromberg. The bordertown of Caliboro is menaced by a bandit known only as The Black Mask, whose his evil machinations cause Deputy Sheriff Philip Morgan to lose his job. Morgan, however, comes up with a disguise of his own and tracks down the bandit, who turns out to be leading citizen Ramon Gonzales (Leon Barry). Virginia Brown Faire played the daughter of the town's sheriff (Thomas G. Lingham) and veteran African-American actress Madame Sul-Te-Wan lent further support as Miss Faire's loyal "mammy."
