The foot proves to be more deadly than the fist in this martial arts-action-drama. Tan (Tan Tao-Liang), a martial arts master who specializes in kicking, is forced into a match with a rival; when the challenger brings a knife into the battle, Tan displays his most deadly skills, and accidentally kills his opponent. Tan is then confronted by the dead man's brother, Pan (Peng Kang), who pledges to kill the man who took his brother's life. Looking for safer surroundings, the master takes a job teaching a petulant princess, Phoenix (Shen Kwan-Li), who proves to be a gifted student in leg work. Tan and his pupil Phoenix soon find themselves joining forces when Tan is challenged by Pan to a fight to the death.
