Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
An experimental meditation on marginalized outsiders clinging to the fringes of society, Roh Gyeong-tae's poetic film uses static images and mesmerizing auditory effects to paint a compelling portrait of a group of lost souls that are as disparate as they are desperate. From a gay cabaret dancer (Oh Heung-ki) to a grieving middle-aged woman (Baek Hyun-joo), a lonely middle-aged man (Hong Suk-yeon) in search of companionship in the internet, and a grandmother (Hwang Bok-soon) whose life is devoid of love, these outcasts all crave a simple human connection.
