This made-for-cable TV series was taped at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, the home of 3,200 animals from 400 different species. The emphasis was on seven of the Park's dedicated keepers, each of whom presided over a specific group of animals. As with most series of this ilk, special attention was paid to the more exotic species, with the Keepers constantly assuring the viewers that the animals thrived in captivity and were extremely well treated (which, of course, they were). The Keepers debuted on October 18, 2002.
